Google To Shut Down Autocomplete API

Google announced (http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2015/07/update-on-autocomplete-api.html) that on August 10, 2015, they will be closing down their Autocomplete API.I don't know if this is a good news or bad news for keyword searching. What's your opinion?

They're not closing down the API, they are restricting unauthorized access. That means IMO that software/ webservices abusing this API will no longer work as from August 10. But as always it won't be long that there will be a workaround.

From G's website:

In the interest of maintaining the integrity of autocomplete as part of Search, we will be restricting unauthorized access to the unpublished autocomplete API as of August 10th, 2015. We want to ensure that users experience autocomplete as it was designed to be used -- as a service closely tied to Search. We believe this provides the best user experience for both services.
