"Google will now begin encrypting searches that people do by default, if they are logged into Google.com already through a secure connection. The change also means that sites people visit after clicking on a result at Google will no longer receive "referrer" data that reveals what those people searched for, except in the case of ads." :eek:

How convenient... If you PAY GOOGLE for ADWORDS then you get to know the search queries... WTF.
 
Exactly, if you havent noticed since google encrypted started to work the keyword tool has gotten more and more inaccurate. Google want's it all . Fuck em .

this is some very very very bad news... ive always used google referes too develop articles on unexpected longtail keywords. i hope this is a joke.

Google software engineer Matt Cutts, who's been involved with the privacy changes, wouldn't give an exact figure but told me he estimated even at full roll-out, this would still be in the single-digit percentages of all Google users.

Well at least there is that, but it's bullsh*t regardless. How does what you search for on a public search engine a privacy concern? I really hope there is a big backlash.

Does this mean Market samurai and other search type of software will be useless? Dude this is fucked. They waited till SEO is a big market and then they monetize this....typical google. I would lend a hand to ***** and Anonymous if that helps.

It's surely a game changer ... how many times haven't many of us picked up long-tail traffic that they didn't ever think of and started drilling down for keywords in that topic ... now that's gone (almost completely)
