i have a wordpress site with exact keyword domain name, i never built any backlinking instead i focused on the content of my site and not long ago my site was ranking in 1st and second page of google but since a few weeks now the traffic has completely stoped, the only visitors i get from google are the ones who google my domain name or a few google images searches. i started building some backlinks now and i'm getting good searche results from other search engines but nothing from google

my blog is copyright infringing in a sense , im thinking i got reported to google by content owners, but what i dont get is if my site was banned or de indexed why google is still showing my domain name in search and sending traffic for google images and all my pages are still indexed.. i can carry on building links but i'm not sure if it's worth it anymore

I'm interested on this also. Experiencing the same on my 6 amazon affiliate sites. Each site has atleast 5k pages. They are still indexed and domain can be searched in google. But no traffic at all except on few image searches. I used to received 100s of visitors for my 100s of keywords in the 1st to 3rd pages of serp. Most of theses keywords are in the top ten. But now all are gone.
edit: forgot to add. 4 sites were built 3-4 months ago. The other 3 sites are more or less 2 month old.

You still need to keep on building links to maintain the rank.. You can't sit on #1 spot without much effort from your side..
i considered that thought as well, been building links related to my niche for 2 weeks now with an overall of 200 link a day but no results so far. this is probably a noob question but is there a way to find in which page on google my site is ?

Panda update #23 was rolled our December 21st and is expected to affect 1.3% of English based searches/queries so this could very well be the problem.
With that being said you getting to page one on the KW and SOC is fine but you still need quality content, build quality relevant links, have solid internal linking, and social social signals--think G+ and verified authorship going forward. Any thoughts on this guys?
And you can have a site with 5k pages on it but it can still be considered a thin site. How about your above-the-fold ads cause you know G is looking at this--they want content first and foremost.

This worked for me when i had the same problem with many of my sites which all disappeared one day....RESUBMIT YOUR SITES and they should be back within 24 hours.
