How does google snippet work? I have a website and I added snippet for it so that other pages appear in Google below main website, however it does not work? Its been 3-4 months but it still does not work? Any help/suggestion is appreciated.

Are you talking about sitelinks? Sitelinks are determined by Google, on whether or not you're site can display them, from there you can change them in Webmaster tools. A lot of times they'll only appear for branded search when you search for your site name.

If you're talking about another type of snippet, which are you referring to? Reviews, price, products, etc?

You need more links to build some level of site-wide trust score.

There's two ways they could appear. If your website is called bigbluethings.com and people search for bigbluethings.com in G, then your site will usually appear with links to other pages underneath. However, if people search for the keyphrase "big blue things" in G, then unless they consider your site to be the main one (or one of the main resources) for that keyword, you won't get the blue links underneath I think you are referring to.
