Google slaps 500 sites an hour!

Found this really interesting, in 2015 Google manually penalized 500 sites per hour.

Sounds like a lot, but its actually around 4.38 million sites if you crunch out the average of 500 a day.

It's disturbing how much influence G has, and how they can manipulate their own engine in this manner to create a faulty online environment which denies access to some "information" to the masses based on it's own whims and it's perceived risk of legal repercussions for including certain content. Now other than legal takedowns I believe G should display all content, and learn to rank it correctly as opposed to manipulating the engine this way.

Scary world really. I guess only some people should have access to certain information, and there is an external third party who holds the key. It's good to be king as the others have said.

Google, as a company, can manipulate its own product lines as it deems fit. There's nothing we can do about it, really. We all have to survive against the odds.

It's not so much the algorithm that you can game but trying to beat the manual reviewers. Individual review and penalty issuing is becoming regular, you even have to have your spelling etc on game point.

Most the sites that get slapped are pure garbage or they have been making some very poor SEO decisions. I'm guessing the majority are churn and burn operations. I've started, run, and worked for many many many websites and never once incurred a manual penalty.
