Google site or Blogger?

OK, just wondering if anyone has any insight on a google site vs a blogger site, or is there really not much difference?
I know it's still better to have your own domain instead of being cheap...but, it's not impossible for these free sites to rank and perform well, right?

In what regard are you asking is one better over another? Are you talking about in terms of SEO, of ability to customize? Your end goals will really determine which one is better for you to use. For instance if you are just trying to start a blog or website then blogger is a way better route to go than Google sites. If you are trying to start an internal web page or intranet, Google sites may be a good option.

I've used both Blogger and Google Sites... But I think that a free X10 Hosting is much better than both. (Yourdomain.x10.mx or .bz) They give you a free cPanel with Softalicious so that you can install all kinds of site software like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, or other CMS's. If I had to chose between Blogger or Google sites, I would go with Blogger.
 
google sites is totally worthless. if anything go with blogger. You can still set up a blogger site to look like a static site and have a blog page too. edit: i forgot to add that you can still rank ok with the blogger subdomain, ive done it. but it really depends on your niche and competition. overall a domain looks better and more professional as others have said. look for a $1 domain deal somewhere, i.e. godaddy.
 
There are some differences on Blogger and Google sites with their user interface and admin panel meanwhile blogger is widely used and more developed with free templates and extensions means you can create a cool looking website in minutes with blogger, if you're talking about the SEO & ranking value it's more likely to rank a sitesgoogle blog than blogger because blogger has 97/100 domain authority and sitesgoogle has 100/100 domain authority which is perfect for ranking means these blogs indexed super fast and getting ranked than any other blogs out there (including self hosted), I've seen this is to be true factor most of the times.

Go for what you think you can manage well. Afterall, it is not on what you choose but on what you do to the platform you choose to manage.
 
Google site is limited specially the themes..blogger is "flexible"...but you can control the visibility of your google site.
 
Blog is better bcoz blog easy for update, in SEO point of you updation is good for promoting blog..
 
Blogger is a lot more customisable than Google Sites, I'd definitely recommend Blogger if you're doing anything more than a quick Web 2.0 property!
 
i read your thread and i think blogger is much and more professional way than google site. And i refer you to the blogger
