Do you see the same crazy rankings? I am ranking pages for kw which I have not optimized for, not even does the kw appear on the page, for which kw it ranks - strange

Nice!

Now figure out the contextual relationship you managed to nail in your content.

not sure what's so crazy about that, at least in my experience. I've had hundreds of articles rank for the strangest of keywords and there was always some connection between them. this is actually a great way to find new sub niches within your main niche. I've actually made a bit of a habit looking through gsc for such keywords since it's a great way to expand your potential keywords/topics

Google doesnt only use keywords anymore to suggest content. It did long time ago. Bing is way more keyword focused.

But when I search for something and the serps show results not relevant I am frustrated

It's not uncommon to see rankings for keywords you haven't explicitly optimized for. Google's algorithms consider various factors, including context and user intent. This phenomenon is often due to the overall quality and relevance of your content and your site's authority. It can be a positive sign of your website's credibility. You may consider optimizing further for these keywords to capitalize on the unexpected rankings.

It's not necessary if your site has already gained topical relevance
Google might switch it up in upcoming updates though
