I am guessing you are just starting out with SEO. My advice to you is to have a look in this forum (The White Hat SEO forum) because these basic questions have been answered and discussed tons of times here already.

For simple tasks, I would prefer seo elite.

If you want to get a bit more advansed, try spyglass, link assistant etc'...

WebCeo is a good tool also.
