Hi guys about 2 and a half months ago i decided to build a geo low computition website i will use this as a example lawyers.com. My website is doing fine for city lawyer serps example newyork lawyers, on first page and many other city lawyers im on the first page. I also have a page rank 3 my main rivals have a page rank 2. Now what i can not get my head around is im not in the top 1,000 google results if i serach just( lawyers ) can any one tell me why ? is it because my site is only 2 and a half months old ? if so how old does it need to be ? thanks guys.

Its not going to work in just a few months. Also, who would search just lawyer?
I would always search lawyer [plus city] as chances are, I would like a face face meeting with them.
The age of domain is kinda important, but its the quality of backlinks that take precedence.
I would focus on building many, constantly high PR backlinks, using the KW as anchor text.
This will not be an overnight solution, but it is one of many things you can do

Thanks but because i do not want to give my idea away i used lawyers as a example as you can see thats what i said example. But on the first page on google my main computition is a pr2. I have been building backlinks for the past 2.5 months now and i managed to get a pr3 now. But still im not in the 1000 top google results for my domain keyword. So as any one got a explanation ? thanks a lot.

PR3 in 2.5 months is cake. I created 3 new sites, read BHW, followed directions and have 3 PR3 sites after 45 days of creation.
PR 5 in 2 months from creation with 500 backlinks is also doable. I'm studying how those sites do it.

scrapebox. xrumer. Use proxies. write GOOD comments. use good names as anchor text. Made a few blogs. Blogs point to money site. post 25-200 links a day. Skip some days. Made some twitter accounts. tweeted. Made some diggs. Point to $ site. rinsed, repeated. #1 on bing and yahoo for many of the keywords I wanted. Working on google now.

what kind of traffic are you getting from bing and yahoo? i know most people try to rank for google but does bing and yahoo give you a good amount of daily traffic?
What keywords did you use building these backlinks? Have you got backlinks with just your 1-word keyword?

Will be hard to get your new site for a one word KW with probably fierce competition ranking high fast.
My observations suggest the existence of filters for new sites. New sites receive a "newbie boost" for less competetive KWs but it seems there is a filter for competetive KWs applied too. Looks like it's triggered by fast link building but I am not sure...
