I got an email on webmaster tool yesterday from Google saying unnatural links detected..etc... so I panic and list all links I have done and downloaded the links from webmaster tool as well to check each of them. I also monitored my website and see if anything unusual happens link site dropping, de-indexing and other things that shows i'm getting slammed. Until today nothing serious happens...and then I stumbled upon this from search engine land:

Insanity: Google Sends New Link Warnings, Then Says You Can Ignore Them

If you received the same email and when you do site search and you still see good results, then you're fine :)..

Huh googles seems god mad.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have found such a mail too....panicked like you too but every thing is fine they say ignore it....

Sounds a sneaky way to scare good SEO's from further optimizing their websites lol :D

So google is using panic creating technique now.
;)

Just another reason not to use GWT. Using GWT is the easiest way for google to flag you for doing SEO, it basically tells them "hey, i want to know everything about my site, so I can optimize it and try and beat your algo" = Google want natural results over SEO'd results.

Agreed, I've never used GWT either and have been happy without it.

I have not received an email, but I don't use any of Googles tools

Yeah, its good to know you're OK and i hope everything is OK with all our friends here at BHW as well.

I got one ... on a profile that had genuine bookmarking, forum comments ... was shocked... could not figure out why. the only links that might have seemed unnatural were from the a second blog with all links pointing to the website. (the blog is the websites blog, and it is branded in the exact same way)...
