Google Search - CSE vs. Reg search - Captcha too many requests

I had a quick idea regarding web scraping a google (super unique-you'll never guess ) and I realized that if you send too many requests to google from google.com the ask for a captcha saying you're a bot.

If you send a ton of requests to a Google Custom search, will they show you the type captcha screen or not?

I think it will still get you ip banned or give you a captcha. Even just checking PR enough gets you a temp ip ban and the captcha sometimes.

What if you were to randomly check different CSEs (on diff domains)?

Would you still get temp ip ban?
