This is kinda annoying, i copied a picture of a celeb kissing another celeb from a video on youtube, fired up windows movie maker, and put up a remixed song on it (Not copyrighted). The picture was obiviously fake, bad photoshop work, but the thumbnail got everyones attention.

The first day i got 5000 views... and then the views just increased like a skyrocket from there, up to 13000 views per day... Now it's at 200 views a day, and i can't find my video anymore when i search on it..

This is weird, has google really taken youtube to the next step and started to sandbox videoes? Why not just delete them if they violate any rules or are inappropriate.

the half life of a video on Youtube is 7-14 days tops. half of the video video views it will ever get, come in the first week or so. and since youtube no longer provides much visibility AT ALL for UGC, once a video dies, it dies hard.

i'm not sure why it isnt available via search though.

@marcdk: I've experienced the same things... I'm into YT marketing only since a few weeks but it seems like they got the same concept of filters for ranking the videos on YT than they use for ranking sites on google...

IM is getting harder on all fields. YT has begun its crusade. I'm considering YT dead for over 1 year now(can't bank big stakes).
