I have site that quickly went up to page 4 and 5 for most keywords. After using many PBN links the rankings seem to no longer move. Its as if the site it stuck on page 4 and 5 and wont move down or up. Most of these links are continually being placed. Most of the links are being indexed on ahrefs as they are built. Is there any explanation as to why a site would not move? The site is about 8 months old.

This doesn't look like a sandbox. My bet is that you over-optimized a keyword and got an algorithm penalty. What does your link profile looks like?

I guess you add too much at the same time, you may trigger some waiting period where your rankings stuck for 6-8 weeks but after that it should pick up pace again. Keeping add links and articles and move to another project.

According to majestic anchor text variation is for the most used keyword 7 percent. Other anchor text is at 41%.

Actually it is not google sandbox. Google Sandbox, a mechanism that factors website's age (or lack thereof) into its ranking on popular keywords. May be you got some algorithm penaly.

It seems like a SandBox.You have used many PBN links to your site but all that links are not in good quality I think.
So in my opinion, you can get some links from authoritative sites and try to get some social shares to show that your site has good quality.

Most of the sites does not receive good ranking because of not having a good keyword and keyword phrases.
Try to make some social shares that could validate the links which you recently got.
If you were not done the links with good quality then the site will be placed in sandbox.

You can check with site:www.yourdomain.com. If Google doesn't return any results, then your website has been dropped by Google.
If Google results your website is dropped in keyword rankings and you are still indexed by Google means you were placed in Sandbox.
If your website with PageRank and it not results in Google SERP, you were placed in Sandbox.
To get out of Google Sandbox,
Acquire links from authoritative sites and try to gain some social shares.

Could you please guide how to avoid GG sanbox. I also have a site in Sanbox but I don't know how to get out of it. Thanks in advance :)

The amount of sandbox mentioned here...his site is 8 months old. It's not sandboxed.

Don't worry OP just keep building new links with brand domain anchor text.

I think it is not sandbox.may be algorithm penalty.
Just keep adding links and articles with brand domain anchor text. Cheers.

Ill post if my links ever take effect. So far still stuck on page 4 and page 5.

If you're in a competitive niche it will take up to 12 months to move out of the sandbox. Your PBN backlinks also have similar sandbox if they are on high authority sites and you put new content that wasn't related to the old content. Google is shooting for that year mark so most spammers won't renew PBN domains. I have been testing ways to avoid this sandbox. If I find some I will be sure to keep it secret ;)
