The truth is, the only reviews that will most likely to stick are the
1. Purchased REAL ones
2. Real people who left a review because they were happy with your service.
What less like won't stick?
1. Purchased FAKE ones
2. Self made Fake ones
Why the purchased FAKE and self made ones have low success stick probability?
Then you got some people who buy accounts and log into them and then doing the review from those purchased accounts. IP footprints is tough to cover. Eventually they will slip and get caught. If you haven't good for you! But not everyone is like you.
Google is best if not, one of the best, at detecting what is known as "high risk" IP addresses / VPNs
IMO Google gives a little hoot about patterns , drip rate, and all that bogus stuff you hear here.
The reasons why you guys hear those above over and over here is because 99.999% of you here got conditioned by those bad reviewers over the months since October 2023 or what I call the "GREAT SNAP". When google used all 5 infinity stones and wiped out as high as 80% of the reviews out there.
And the reason why you hear "omg omg, reviews don't stick bla bla, google doesn't allow paid reviews" its because whoever they hired to do their review for them, the provider provided them with bad quality. Bad quality meaning they used the same method of using fake IPs, bots, VPN, and all the other BS tactics. So the buyer mentality starts rationalizing with all kinds of things like "omg omg, its because google detected pattern, omg omg, its because 3 reviews got posted in 1 day! OMG!!!!". And on top, this can potentially harm your GMB. The more red flags you get = the more google will notice the suspicious activities happening to your account = higher probability of getting your years of hardwork getting suspended.
Lets take this further:
Lets just say review was submitted successfully. So, who ELSE cares about the drip rate and reviewer quality if it passes google filter?
Your potential customers and competitors of course! And not that, your business competitors won't pay attention to your reviews until you bump them down to 4th on the Google Map Pack.
If those mentioned group above notice anomalies, They may do 1 of 2 things.
1. Not conduct business with you. Trust is lost.
2. Possibly and I hope not, report your GMB to google if they feel like you are killing their business after taking their spot.
But what kind of anomalies?
1. Consistent pattern Reviewer's profiles of being hidden/private
2. Consistent pattern of Reviewer's review history from "ALL OVER THE WORLD". Their review time stamp history can't be hopping from Australia to NY every 5 minutes.
3. Consistent Pattern of Irrelevant names. ( this is an exaggeration)
reviewer name 1: Mate
reviewer name 2: Mate
reviewer name 3: Bro
reviewer name 4. Bro
reviewer name 5. Dear
reviewer name 6. Dear
etc etc
4. Consistent review submission blasts within just 5 minutes apart.
In summary in my opinion Its a vicious cycle of mental/psychological conditioning that is taking place here. But, everything I mentioned above is just based on my long detailed observation of what is happening.
