Google Results an Absolute Joke

If you would have searched as you should have done: " css guide "... The first result it's from w3schools....and that's the best guide site for html and css

Ehhh? "as I should have done"? The whole point is to give Google something a bit more interesting to search for.

The w3schools guide is NOT the best guide, not by a long shot. It's not even a guide, it's a bland reference that doesn't teach you anything. It's for people who already know CSS.

(I don't actually need a guide, I was only trying interesting search terms)

The point was that I wanted 'great css guide'. I wanted a friendly *GUIDE* written by someone who's trying to teach css.

Bing gave me that. Google gave me a reference, a couple of sites that list other sites, some amazon links and some more junk.

Who's leaving Google, bad seo's?

Um, no. People who are trying to find stuff maybe?

SEO's are getting sick of it too. High quality sites are getting wiped out by junk/forum posts/amazon/livestrong/youtube. Have you been living in a cave recently?

rofl @ This site may be compromised. So why is it no 2 Google?
Wonderful site. Still think Google isn't broken?

Anyway, I'm off to bed. Good night.

Maybe there are some drawbacks in googles search results...........
But we cant compare any other search engine with the mighty google..........
Its undoubtedly the No-1 search engine whatsoever...................................

I've noticed it too. It looks like google is putting more emphasis on, "authority" domains and that domain can dominate the first 1 or 2 pages of the results. For example, some keywords only list youtube videos for the first two pages before ever referring to another domain name. Pretty ridiculous.

Bing and blekko offer better results now.

I had people over yesterday for a party, and we got on a discussion about Google because I pay the bills and provide for my family with IM money. A retired school teacher noted how she had to go to page 4 of Google to get away from the domain crowding and find a relevant result. I educated everyone that was over how they could report their displeasure with the search results to Google, showed them where the paid ads were (all over and above the fold) so they don't click them in the future and said they could find better results on Bing.

The bottom line is that non-techies/webmasters are noticing Google's thin shit SERPS.

Search"hair relaxer for men" without quotes and look from results 5-30 and click on one those results....

now on
im using bing on all my browsers
google sucks to find some shit
word

Bing is picking up on the fresh and relevant content. That's good to see.
