Here we go again.

I might start skipping all threads, tweets and articles about Google update.

You can wake up at anytime of the day, week, month or year and be sure there's a Google an ongoing update.

An ongoing update to an ongoing update of last months update.

This should be interesting.

@MisterF remember when I was all about Amazon and Product Review sites?

Yeah... what was I thinking?

I think a lot of the sites with fake author bios, such as thispersondoesnotexist photo etc will possibly be in the sights here, same with ai generated content.

I read a case study yesterday from a guy who was accepted for Adsense and they later closed his account for using Ai content.

This could prove an interesting update for sure.

Out of curiosity, did the guy confirm he was actually using AI content or it's just what Google thinks?

It's wild and crazy, the cycle continues.

I advised someone on Monday who is just starting out in affiliate sites to https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/ecommerce/write-high-quality-product-reviewsregarding content.

He admits he was using Ai content, and they closed his account so he thinks that was the reason. I'll ask him if he has any more details to prove or disprove this was the actual reason. He said he'd done zero linking, zero black hat traffic...

How can Google even detect AI content? Some content tools like Jasper for instance are excellent & the majority of the time genuinely comes back with something close to what I would write - and with a little editing it's good to go.

I guess, maybe worse AI tools?

I advised someone on Monday who is just starting out in affiliate sites to read this regarding content.

Thanks for this though, I hadn't seen it. This is actually the hardest part "Provide evidence such as visuals, audio, or other links of your own experience with the product, to support your expertise and reinforce the authenticity of your review."

Google cant detect AI content. It doesnt even do a good job at detecting duplicate contrnt let a lonr AI which takes quite the processing power to do on scale

I suspect that they are wanting more unique images as opposed to everyone using the exact same stock images. So someone unboxing the product, setting up the item or using it type images.

isnt it a coincidence that YouTube revenue are low, and an update comes maybe I’m paranoid but these updates are triggered to make sure google earnings are not effected.

all product site owners, hang in tight do not do anything drastic now, wait for the storm to pass

Google Quarterly Results: Profit remains flat
Alphabet reported a marginal 0.4% increase in profit to $19.45 billion in Q2'22 from $19.36 billion in Q2'21. The Earning Per Share (EPS) was $1.21, as compared to the street estimate of $1.28

I read this topic and after I check my affiliate website and I saw this :)) I was only happy for a little while...

I noticed a huge drop in my traffic, around 80 -90% of my traffic was gone. Maybe it's because of the update? I thought that I was penalized or something.

This is not true. Google Search and AdSense both are entirely different things. AdSense suspends account only if they break their rules.

I know a lot of AI sites that still use AdSense even after they were deindexed by Google.

I also lost ~50% of my traffic in the last few days, hopefully it will recover after the update gets completed.

Ride it out for a week, then see if the traffic starts coming back mate.
