Hi all,

Hoping to get a little help as i've been a bit behind all of the updates that have occurred recently. I mostly focus on Amazon affiliate sites (i.e. review styled). I seem to have a mix of sites that are doing fine and another set that have declined quite a bit over the last few months. One page that bothers me in particular is a low searched for keyword that I used to rank #1 for that I am now at #7. The problem is I have no idea if it my linking, my content, a combo, etc. Are there any sort of tests I can do to figure out if I scored low and hence got caught in one of the algorithm updates? If it helps I prop most of my sites up using a PBN where I vary anchors.

For instance I have done duplicate checks and everything checks out. I don't think my articles are poorly written. Is there anything with respect to # of times the main keyword is used and the # of exact match links?

Anyway if anyone knows of anyway to test this out a bit I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Competition is rising pal.

Have you added content and more hq links since you were nr1?

Yup you bet. Moved some links around on my PBN, pointed more to this site and it still remains #6/#7 behind a couple of sites with no apparent links (could be hidden but I doubt it as they look like beginner sites).

Is there a value difference in the content between the sites that are performing well vs. those that aren't? Not just # of keywords, but utility provided to a human reader.

My articles are longer which I realize doesn't mean much but I really don't think I have content that someone would read and say this is crap. What is frustrating is even my "2015" type keywords aren't ranking as easily as they used to and I have no sweet clue why. Those are easier keywords to rank so am not sure the reason for the drops.

Thanks,
Adam

Find the targeted low competitive keyword with high searches and write an article for that keyword with a high quality links mate to get ranking.
