Its not a legit source, they are just saying Russia is not democratic because the people coming up with the list are off another culture.

It's a legit source. They are saying Russia is not democratic because it fails to meet the standards in terms of the metrics used to measure the state of democracy in a nation. Read the Methodology section of the article please.

What's a legit source to you? A youtube video of a RT broadcast?

NOTE TO ALL: Please remember that we do not allow religious or
political discussions on BHW, due to the fact that many people
have very strong and often opposing opinions and beliefs when it comes
to those two topics. This often leads to a "Flame War", which
is something we neither want or need.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Its not legit since the standards are created in a way russia has to fail.
The person who dictate the standards dictate the results.
A quick example average temperatur.Wikipedia is saying that average temp was rising based on the massure standards they use.
They forgat to mantion that during these masuries many temp stations got closed.Of course temp stations got closed where temp was going down. This way they manipulated the result and their claim is true that the average temp was rising but it wouldnt rise if the other stations wouldnt get closed.
A tricky manipulation which is a western standard in many cases.
There is a nice sentence.
Dont trust statistics which you dont have manipulated yourself

They don't like the laws that the people of Russia wanted, it has nothing to do with how democratic the process of making such laws is.

You just proofed how media is working on you.Milosevic didnt sit in prison because of albanians but because he didnt accepted to sell public facilities for peantus to western investors.

Read the book from Brzezinski and you got your answer

Milosevic along with 2 other Yugoslavian idiots and USA destroyed Yugoslavia and and is responsible for a lot of deaths there
About the book i don't need it i was living it

p.s. i Agree with some Posts you said above about USA propaganda but this i didn't expected to hear from you after the above posts

Before you comment in the future don't forget to learn Geography. Srebrenica is in Bosnia in Bosnia. And regarding that "genocide", here is who Serbs were fighting against.
Next time you decide to defend these lunatics, ask yourself if you would like to see your daughter/son along these people.

Those "mujahedins came after the war started to help Bosnian ppl resist the aggression that Milosevic and Karadjic started. They took the weapons from JNA and placed them on the hills around the Bosnia, and afterwards they started war with Croatia...
Also Srebrenica was not a Genocide although Court in Haag classified it as genocide.Bravo, Bravo

p.s. Am also removing my self from this thread as am not planing to loose my account coz of some ppl that post things they heard from media and think that are truth, Milosevic supporters etc

There's more to being a functional democracy then that. Just like there is more to unrestricted internet access then the ability to illegally stream an episode of the walking dead.

We don't even need to get into civil liberties and economic freedoms... fully functional democracies have free and fair and electoral processes. Russia has restrictive electoral regulations that have prevented genuine competition in past presidential and parliamentary elections. Russia has state and coerced media outlets that fan the flames around whatever issue the Kremlin wishes to push, while at the same time ignoring opposition. Political opposition and protestors are regularly detained or imprisoned.

So of course with that sort of state-supported apparatus you're going to have landslide victories in elections, and majority support for the Kremlin's agendas. With those sort of advantages anything less is unthinkable.

It's ok though, one day Putin will be a distant memory and Russia will continue to move towards being a fully functional democracy that resembles European nations. They are slowly making progress, as is China.
