Hi.
My site got proxied with something people call Google proxy hack. Basically, some spammy/hijacked domains copy my website in real-time (when I change something on my pages it changes in theirs too). It's basically a full duplicate of my site, but they also replace "mydomain.com" to "theirdomain.com" in the html, javascript and header code of my site, so it looks to google as if it's their site. I'm being hit by this attack a third time now, and I couldn't yet recover.
First time I tried blocking those sites (checked if that's them scraping my html code and serving on their server) and serving another content - didn't work
Second time I tried things from first, but also added their domains to my search console and tried to de-index their whole domain - didin't work. I also changed my own domain and did 301 redirect. Site is still in penalty-mode (can't rank on anything).
This time I'm trying to disavow all the spammy backlinks this proxy attack has created (around 800 domains, 20k backlinks or so). I already submitted all the invalid URLs to Google. Also, their sites seem to already proxy another site or their server is down / domain expired (can't locate a working proxy site now, but links and google cache is still there for those domains).
My rankings dropped significantly today, dropped from around 10k organic/day to around 100. I got kicked from a keyword that includes my domain name, where I ranked first. Yesterday when I typed "mydomain.com" in google it would show cool, large sub links to my sub-pages, but now it shows those small-sublinks (I'm talking about the search results, and it also happened earlier with my other domains).
I just don't know what to do now - is there a way to recover from such "penalty"? Has anyone experienced something like that before?
