Google Places

Hopefully someone may be able to offer me some advice. We used to have lots of listings up on Google Maps according to keywords and locations. It used to be easy as they would send an SMS with the authentication code but now they send postcards to an address.

The other issue is that they now say they dont accept listings unless its the company name -so all of mine has been suspended but somehow lots of our competitors still are up there with keywords only!

Does anyone have any advice on how to go about getting back what we once had!? i.e. listings with keywords in lots of different locations.

How long has it been since you logged into your Places account? There was a bug in one of their updates a while back and I posted a fix to QUICKLY get your accounts back to 'Live'. Check it out here:

Thanks for that. Unfortunately too late as I thought it was due to things like the use of keywords, etc so I went in and changed them all! Damn!!

I guess I shall see if the listings go live again and Edit afterwards. Would this work?

It may take a bit longer but you should be ok. Could you try running my work around even though you've changed the sites? I'd be curious to see if it still works. Keep us updated.
