Hey guys,

A customer of mine just had a poor/negative comment written on his Google Places account. This was done purposefully, the former client is trying to blackmail him for money and is in turn threatening to post negative reviews/comments all over the internet to hurt his reputation.

Other than disputing with Google, what would you suggest to push this comment down? Posting more positive comments? I don't see how reverse SEO would work in this scenario considering its Google Places and is synonymously linked with his brand name/website.

Would deleting the Google Places listing and creating a new one work?

Thanks

Wouldn't Google flag you if you tried posting reviews yourself?

Maybe if you had good proxies that were in the right (geo) location, I guess...

It safe if you do the reviews from unique IPs and not spamming.
Says, 1-2 new reviews per week will be good.

Good luck

Like mentioned before. The best way is to get legit reviews to replace the old negatives

Get legit reviews from real clients if you can. Incentivize them with a gift card if they leave a review for you. If you don't want to go to that effort, there's always software and or outsourcers!
