Google Places ranking service - Contract

I'm looking to start an Google places optimization service,after I got a great video course from here (thx bhw ),but I have a problem with the contract it's there.

First of all,I don't have a company (It's that a must to start contacting bussines owners for G places ranking services?)

Also,I want to charge them trough paypal,after they're list appears in the top 5 slots.How should I write that?The contract I already have,oblige costumers to put there they're credit card info,wich I don't really like,because I don't have a company,so they might get suspicious and so on.

From your experience,what are the chanses to be scammed,if I don't sign a contract with them?

Also,if someone haves a premade contract for this,please PM me with it,or just post here...or if you can help me write one,that would be perfect.

Contracts are Ok to have, but they really don't mean anything. You will get charge backs even if you do the work and you have a contract. Google places is for low quality clients,
those tend pay the least and complain the most.

I understand the contract dosen't mean much,especially from my side,since i'm not a US resident,and ofcourse i won't go there just for small,let's say 300$ scam.
but for the clients,it might sound like more seriosity from my side.My problem is not regarding chargebacks,because they'll have to give me the money after I place them where we discussed,I'm afraid of not getting payed at all lol.

I don't have a portofolio of clients yet,I won't think people will just give me money because I tell them I can do whatever I tell them i do.

Chances are slim you are going to get scammed by business if you run a business. There is more sense of Trust operating this way. To get set up as a sole proprietor and a home base biz license is cheap. Open a bank account under you business so you are able to accept business cheques and only give PP as a option to accept CC's. Rank your business on top and most clients won't want to need anything more proof from you.

I dont think you should be asking for their credit card info in any contract. Plus paypal its a lil rough.

Fresh Books have a pretty good system that handles both online/snail mail payments. (automatically) And its pretty cheap service. Plus they connect with paypal so your money will end up where you want it.

and contracts arent really a good look neither specially if you dont have a portfolio of previous work. I suggest maybe setting up your SEO strategy into a method that you can cut off (at least for the beginning) thats what im thinking of doing.

Im personally going into a lead seals model. Which to me should be easier to sell. So your unique selling point is "I will get you more costumers" instead of "ill rank you in google places". Which do you think translate the most value to the business owner?

At the end of the day you might get them more costumers by ranking them on google places so it might be same process but it puts the ball in their court.

How do you create an SEO strategy that you can cut off? by owning the site and everything related. Think about it, local SEO its pretty easy. If you do your job well they really dont need you after a couple of months tops. Most local businesses dont take much to rank them. and not much maintenance there after.

First of all if you really like to start google places optimization service you do not need a company at all!!! to contact business owners. Google place or map is totally free...

There is no scam issue if you contract with other business owner.But i personally suggest you starting your own local business, its better for you rather than contracting with others. But its up to you..

There are a lot of scams and it always better to stand you ground and I don't think it is bad to ask for half the payment upfront and you can always get the remaining half after you complete the work. The work will speak for itself.
