    Hey Guys,

So I'm lucky enough to have an in with a successful brink & mortar company that's allowed me to do all their online marketing/referrals at a good commission rate based on sales I bring in online.
The problem I have is that I want to use Google Places using the company info (to get immediate exposure - and because it's so much easier to rank) but linking to my referral/funnel site (as well as using my referral phone number I'm currently waiting for from the company).

I guess what I'm wondering is if it's possible to use the company info (address, etc) with the exception of the phone line and website for which I would use my own. Just doesn't make sense in promoting the company on Google Places for an hourly rate when I could much more easily rank it up and earn commissions from it to both my own and the companies benefit.

At this point they also don't have a Google places account, so I don't know if by registering on Google places with their company info minus the phone number will it restrict them from putting up their own should they decide down the line. Anyone try this for local businesses with Google Places where you want to use your referral site as opposed to doing local SEO for the companies actual site?

Thanks in advance! Any suggestions on how to go about doing this are greatly appreciated!

Basically, It's possible but I'm not sure how G would look at it. You can use any phone and website you want (same as hijacking a listing) but G won't like it very much. in addition, the NAP wouldn't match across the board so it may look suspicious. A smarter move would be to put a page on their website with your phone number, that does auto-redirect after 5 seconds (and notifies the customer about it).

Either way, I'd think of an easier way to get the referrals going if I use their brand. Maybe you can use their address to open your own brand, and then there would be two listings - yours, and theirs, and they would co-exist (or get ghosted by Possum, but that's a risk you might have to take if you decide working that way)
