Google Places listing

on Google.ca for the keyword : Storage Toronto

There is a website there I'd like to get listed in Google maps, it is already on 1st page but it is not being listed under Google maps. I do have a Google Places account for it, and for various storage toronto phrases it is listed under Google Maps, however, for this keyword it is not listed.

I heard that listing in local Toronto/Canadian based directories should help with this listing.

Other than natural backlinks, is there any way to get a Google Map listing under a specific phrase?
