    Hi there,

My client google places listing was stucked on page 2 for several months now.
No matter what I did - review, citation, backlinks - the raking doesn't move up at all. I'm so desperate now. Can somebody please help to move the listing to page 1 of Google. I'm willing to pay.

    Thanks,

There are some pros around that can get most listings up in spot of your choice - if your client is paying you well enough you should grab one of them.

I can send your client some Google +1's, it may boost the ranking. It boosted my Google+ profile at the top if you search for my full name.

    My two cents worth.

Go to getlisted.org and input the URL (this is FREE). Then follow the suggestions to improve your ranking.

Just did one today. First, make sure you fill out the profile completely. Include images that have the keyword as the file name. Be sure the address in Places matches your other citations exactly to get the best results. You also want to link to your Places page from other places such as your website sidebar or footer so the link is on all your pages (if you have control of their website).

Next, if you have a video, upload it to YouTube and include the video with a keyword in the title in your Places profile too. If you don't have a video, take some images and use Animoto or Jing to record a video even if it's only 30 seconds.

These things will give you a good start. Hopefully others will chime in too and share their experience.

    Hope it helps.

Look for a Google Places cheat sheet, by an amazing bhw member called MagicMike possibly Magic_Mike. Just use the search and you'll find it.

Get about 50 plus live listing URLs from some solid citation resources (I'd go for 80/20 here, 80% general/popular citation sources and 20% hyperlocal/hyperniche if possible)

Take those live listing URLs, and start building backlinks to them using your or your client's desired keywords. Think blog commenting, social bookmarking, bulk pinging, rapid indexer sites, etc.

Even just running the listing URLs through a pinger/rapid indexer can usually give you noticeable results. The key is to piggyback off the citation resources' "geo-contextual" authority in this sense.
