    A client of mine has 4 offices in their city.

    I just picked them up, and it turns out for some reason, they have 2 Google Place pages, (2 of the offices).

    One has theirsite.com as the site page, and the other has "theirsite.com/word," as their site page (on GPP).

    Both are listed in the rankings, in spots B and E. This is a high price market, meaning that if they can get the traffic, they will clean up.

    >

    My question is, can I make a GPP for each office?

    I can use different company names and addresses and have all unique content, but would it be a mistake to repeat phone numbers and websites. Is using a sub-page on a site allowed?

    What would you guys do in this kind of a situation?

    Thanks. ~englandrm

    (I've heard that Google wants you to only make 1 GPP for multiple offices in the same city, but there's 2 ranking at the moment, so I'm wondering if I should jump at this opportunity.)

    Surely, if a company has divisions in different locations, google should allow them to be added seperately.

    I recently helped a friend get his places listing from nowhere to position C. Its all to do with wording / keyword placement in the ad, categories and other info areas...

    Yes spot on, however it doesn't mean that you a can't do it but I would guess it's more likely that the original double GP sites are "legacy" before everyone got involved, and they have probably changed the checking when you sign up by now.

    What I would do is make sure the original place site is perfect and try and add the others with anon emails etc, just to see what happens.

    Can I list the different Place Pages on sub-pages of the main site?

    EX

    PP1 = mysite.com
    PP2 = mysite.com/word1
    PP3 = mysite.com/word2
    PP4 = mysite.com/word3

    Do I need to worry about the pages being combined, Or should I pick up separate domains for each page?

    (remember 2 are currently listed, 1 as mysite.com and the other as mysite.com/word1)

    You definitely can have a listing for each address. I think you could even keep the business name and number the same, but to be safe you may want to atleast change the phone number for each location (that's what I'd do anyway...)

    But is it alright to use subpages on the same site (high PR, decent links, old age), for each location?

    If it is retail then i say make 4 places accounts. If you are a restaurant then it makes sense to have 4 different pages for each location. G will not penalize all the pages because they are going to the same domain.

    If it is not retail then it should still work. One downside would be that reviews carry some weight i have seen in serps for local. If you have four pages then you could lose some of that value.

    The one question I still have is...

    Can I use the same url?

    Either mysite.com for all of them

    OR

    Mysite.com/word1
    Mysite.com/word2
    etc.

    I would use a different address and phone number. If needed they could always use a vumber number (or something similar) to simply forward to their main number anyway. I don't think you would have a problem using a the same domain but a different page on the domain (so different url).

    If you use the exact same url I think it is too big a footprint and you might see your listings merged, which is what you want to avoid.

    I always try to think ahead... MAYBE G won't catch the same url today, but that's got to be coming, you might as well try to stay ahead of the curve.

    *** Whoops... sorry, didn't realize this post was originally from a month ago!!!

    I am also super interested in this... For some reason my business has 2 listings in Google places. But when i check them they have the same reviews and everything. Its just that the title is different than the other one.
