Been having trouble with google places and my listings going down. Trying the UPS box method but the listings have been sitting there pending for close to a month now? Anyone got any suggestions or know of a service thats good and can guarantee rankings? Thanks!

Krackerxl,

If they have been in "pending" status for close to a month (4 weeks) this is normal. Google claims that listings earmarked for manual review can sit for up to this long before they are either approved or denied.

Here is more in their help section about it,

They should get to it soon.

Hope that helps,

Shawn

Goog to know! Whats everyones luck with Po boxes from ups? Or is it better getting a virtual office?

Google does not respect UPS or a there POX - mail box addresses for postcard so try a different way to get listed

What if its listed like an adress with a # suite number?

This right should not be a problem as long as it is not UPS or fake address , suite# It can be numbers or letters or even together as long as it can get real address Postcard for google

Don't worry about it. Please check is there any keywords been doubled.

Or just change the address and fill the pin code again.

Didn't even receive a post card for one of the listings. Resent it will see what happens. Anymore input?

You cannot use PO boxes for listings. Changing it to a suite doesn't help if Google can cross reference the address with usps stores. Virtual offices are also a no-no, but if you're using a private service you may get away with it. Using a bigger outfit like Regis may get flagged.

As for the pending status... there is huge data backlog right now, so pending for even 4-6 weeks is not unusual. You DO want to make sure you're not violating any rules with your listing, though. There's a link to guidelines in the dashboard, bottom-right of the page. If you want me to look and help, just pm me and we can do a skype screenshare or something. I have a standard support request i use to communicate with google reps and it usually works well. I'll share that tmr when I'm at my office computer.

Oh... and try poking the listing. Youndo this by going to the edit screen nd submitting the listing without making any changes. Sometimes that's enough to get yu out of pending.

Also... keep searching for the business phone on maps.google.com. The listing can sometimes be live before the pending status is removed frm dash.

Final tip as this is a common issue with the bcklog. If pictures aren't displaying... Log into your places account and visit the listing frm the front end, the way a normal user would. Click the photos tab and click the blue button to upload photos. Do that and they should be live within a couple of days.

Do you have a website and do you provide google + local services? So if I don't have a physical location in the city I can't do anything basically. I've had luck with ups and was thinking of using regus. I don't see why they would flag it I'll just tell them I answer phones there and I don't have a place customers can walk into as it's just a call center.

Any suggestions for companies I can use for this?

i dont think you should worry much about it, just give it a chance and be patient while you wait for results.

It got approved but its not ranking :/ Link to support forums?

Can anyone recommend a good service provider for these type of things? I am launching another business soon and will need a good reliable person. Thanks

Man.. add as much pictures, videos and stuff you can.. then blast the shit out of it
