one of my sites which was high ranked in google for my keyword for over 2 years has been knocked back to page 8 this is the same for other top keywords i had.

ive asked google via webmaster tools but them pricks never answer just an automated reply about googles rules etc.

anyone got an idea why a site would be put back several pages when it was high ranked for over 2 years, i had been building backlinks but not aggressivley.

if its some sort of google slap do they last long or can anything be done to dig out ?

the site is myfreeiphone.co.uk and keyword was free iphone and free iphone 3gs

any help would be great.

With billions of pages indexed why would google take some time to go around answering your questions? It is a search engine, pages go up and down every day, nothing you can do about it except work on your site and hope to get back again one day

Check your competitors backlinks.

you may have been outranked by your competitors, better check your onpage optimization and their backlinks.

Google is due an update. Maybe they are now discounting a few of your main backlinks. Maybe they are discounting for overoptimizing your anchor "Free iphone". Try getting more varied anchors. Dont do anything hasty, it happens sometimes then comes back

It's highly unlikely that he have been outranked so much that he's at position 8 all of a sudden.

It's probably just a change in Googles algorithm.
