100% false? just because you've had success with spun content makes it 100% false? i have done extensive testing with hundreds of web 2.0s using both unique content and spun content and 100% of the time unique content generates much more results and i feel comfortable knowing my sites won't be penalized soon. But hey, i'm just speaking from personal experience and i obviously don't know as much as you since you say its "100% false."

I just got ranked for a midsized keyword on a new niche blog I started. Traffic has been pouring in nicely...so far this update may be on my side but who can tell if its even a G update anymore....
Fresh sites do fine, old sites get hit
If you didn't realize, that's the entire point of these "refreshes".

Expert... how old would you define a fresh site? up to 10 days old, 30 days, 60 days?....

3-6 months, after 6 months it seems google really likes to nail them right now... depending on a multitude of factors of course.
Google also does not apply their algorithm uniformly.

I'd have to agree with you, none of my client's new sites even months in ever see a penalty no matter what linkbuilding they do

Anybody else experiencing that for 7-10 days sites were bouncing like crazy and finally started to settle down either similiar to their rankings before / or completely disappeared ?
For me, sites that haven't received any fresh linkbuilding during the last 30-40 days were hit most hard. Any other experiences on especially the second question ?
