Did Google made a page rank update? because my page ranks have changed, people ware talking about a PR update in October.

I think we can confirm a Google rolling PR Update...

I'm seeing Toolbar changes in effect.
 
Something's happen for sure... Some PR checker tools show different result in my site's PR, while checkpageranking[dot]com shows "Cannot analyze if the PR is Genuine at this time" to some of my sites.
 
Not sure if this is directly related, but today I went to get a new web site verified by Google that I put up over the weekend. In the process, I saw where a second site of mine, that had already been verified by Google, appeared as "Not verified." WTF???

So, I took the new meta code and compared it to the previous code and found it was different. So, in a nutshell, Google--in its infinite wisdom--unverified my site and made me re-verify it. Maybe this is related to the new page rankings. :(
 
I don't like this update, 0 this is bs
 
My sites didn't saw any update. But time has arived for updation. May be its rolling.
 
Can anyone recommend a good PR checker? I have tried heaps but always get 404 errors.
 
I agree, something happened. I had multiple pr 3-4 sites drop down to 0's. A few of my sites went from close to 1k uniques down to 20-30 unique's daily.

This held for about a week, then we slowly climbed back to where they were previously. :rolleyes:
 
My traffic drop on August and some of my backlinks was de-indexed... Now I see indexing of backlinks and hope my traffic back..
 
I think that G has a new algorithm that got implemented at the beginning of the month, now the penalty's for spamming are coming sooner, from what I have seen G can detect comment spamming
 
As far as I know PR won't help you rank well but your contents & Site Structure & backlinks do.

Just do search on google, see the top 10 sometime domain or page got PR 0 still rank higher than pr4 pr5 because of the relevance compairing to what user search.

But nowadays Backlinks is more important than on-page SEO. Sometime a page have no content, all flash, still rank #1 because of its backlinks. Seems the most important is Title Tag and Backlinks Anchor Text

This is what I know about. Fix me if I'm wrong.
