Yes Google updates page rank algorithm once in a 3 month. But one thing i would like to say you that nothing is fix. They may update PR algorithm or may not. it is totally depend on Google.

If we look into past few updates than we say that they might be update Page Rank 1st or 2nd week of February 2013.

Just wait and watch...

Is pagerank still worth it? I rarely pay attention to pagerank when I build sites.

Toolbar PR updates somewhere around every 3 months. Makes morons jump with joy. ACTUAL PR updates pretty constantly.

It's a public PR, the metric we can check.
Google use internal PR that updates weekly.
