Google Page Rank Finally Dead?

I was thinking about this the other day when I was comparing expired domains. I was wondering how I could honestly decide between two similar domains based on PR when the PR numbers we all have are from over half a year ago. Who knows what the current PR is of anything at this point? When looking at two similar PR4 domains to buy, one might actually be a PR0 and the other a PR6 at this point.

when you are buying a domain with PR, it would always be important anyway to look at a domains backlink profile. You obviously are going to want one that is strong and doesnt look like it would be dropping in the next update. Once owning the domain you would also continue to link to it so keep building its PR.

You sound like Matt Cutts trying to inception BHW.

no
PR will keep update.
Matty is just busing doing manual penalty.
LOL

One Day i will See a thread here "OMG GOOGLE IS DEAD AND FUCKED UP". That will be a relieve.

Did people also noticed that webmaster tools data need a longer period to refresh?? (incoming links for instance)

In two weeks it will be exactly 7 months since the last PR update which had happened in the beginning of February 2013. Before that Toolbar Page Rank was refreshed every 3 or 6 months, but now it looks that Google is having some big-ass delay or finally decided not to bother with PR anymore, because it probably became kinda useless in the past few years.

Matt Cutts has said on Twitter it would be unlikely for a public PR update before 2014 (screenshot somewhere on here)
