google one subscription cancelation

I upgraded my google photos for more storage and uploaded a load of stuff after upgrading, but if i cancel my google one subscription for google photos will any of the files be deleted or will they remain there?

If i remember right
Your data/photos files will remain there for a maximum of 2 years before they go ahead and delete it IF you are over your limits. If you are under (15gb) then they will be there unless you don't log in for 2 years.
Also, if you are over the limits, you won't be able to use any of google's service properly on that account no more
for example, no emails will come through until you free up space.

Not sure if they have implemented the "feature" where it won't let you downgrade if you dont have enough space of that downgraded plan.
