Just logged into Google+ and it very much reminded me my last login into Google Buzz - the marketers are there, the non-marketers are not.

This, or I'm biased?

I only use Google+ to get my web links indexed fast. Else, no one other than big brands promoting their products are on Google+.

It's dead at the moment. When google glasses are released next year it could potentially blow up - have a look at the reviews, it's very google+ orientated.

I think if Google felt it was a failure they would shut it down like they do with their other products.

I do not use anything by Google for personal use.
And its not dead it never was alive.

Google+ is too complex for general public, that's the reason I guess it didn't worked very well. It is although a huge improvement over Google Wave. It will gain traction slowly... Like the other google products.

google+?? i got some friends there who i knew through google+, though they are bloggers.

It usually takes them some time past the no return point. I've looked at Google trends and the situation looks sad for Google+.

Not dead, it's in the middle of a transition from a facebook alternative to a giant yelp of sorts. For example, your business google places or maps listing is switching to a google plus/local page. I have heard they they are weighing reviews and posts on a company's G+ page heavy on the SEO front to encourage business adoption.

Google plus is good for seo or advertising services. The non-marketers are not there? I guess not. If you would search G plus groups and communities, nonmarketers are very active. From my point of view, G+ communities (consisting of nonmarketers) are more active than facebook groups/pages.

What's Google + ?

Right? lol

But Google is too big and too smart to let it fail. We see new ideas creating networks like Vine and Instagram occasionally. So I wouldn't be surprised if G+ gets a makeover that makes it much more marketable/palatable... When the timing's right.

Guys,

Google Plus now has 450 million + users

It is about to cross the total userbase of twitter

Plus, if a post is shared on g+, it gets indexed faster
and if you know about google authorship, it requires use of g+ if 'you want your photograph to be shown along with your site ' in search results

The number of people +1ing a site have increased tremendously...

It does have marketers as well as non marketers

Its very much alive !!

Most of them don't know they have accounts at all and are just members because they use youtube. Do you use WP with yoast plugin? Link your profile to a site using yoast plugin.. huge pick me up.

I haven't used google+ much but it doesn't seem too alive my opinion is sided with the OP
