GOOGLE NOT RANKING TAGS

I have an adult site that has issues with google. My tags arent ranking at all. I only get impressions on a single keyword in the homepage.

Is their any way or trick to improve the rankings of my tags??

ADDITIONAL INFO: Tags of my competitor appear to be ranking when I check their traffic with ahrefs.

Are your tag pages actually indexed in Google? You should check the indexing status and any related messages in GSC.

It’s possible your CMS has a noindex tag set on tag pages.

If only the homepage is ranking, then it’s worth digging deeper into the site. The problem might not be limited to just the tag pages.

You can try improving your tag pages by turning them into more valuable content hubs add a short intro, ensure internal links point to them, and include relevant posts under each tag. Also, make sure the tags are indexable and not seen as thin content by Google. Competitors may be ranking because their tag pages offer more context or engagement.

Unnecessary or excessive tags do not rank in the search engine, because it may confuse users from reaching the required results.

It may be the reason for the ranking fluctuations and drop in your ranking in the search engine.
