Google not indexing website

It could be a Panda refresh and they've decided to give you a thin content penalty. If there's very little difference in content (actual text) from page to page, and a lot of pages don't get traffic, then this could definitely be a possibility.

Plus one for this. Seen this before where rather than a penalty being applied, Google just chooses not to index them as they have little or nothing to offer. With a lack of content on your pages, it is quite likely they can't see any value to including your pages in the index.
 
They do add and remove pages depending upon their quality and popularity.

You can get penalty for spam but bad content is not class as spam just low indexing ....
