Recently, some new pages are taking longer than usual to get indexed by Google, even with proper internal linking and quality content. Is anyone else facing this issue? What methods are working for you?

With Google introducing many new updates, you will need to do research on any updates taken place from Google. There is a discussion in the search community regarding indexing updates.

Yaa, I have also observed the same thing on my newly generated pages. at times, google delays considering new URLs; all I do is to ensure there are internal link , as well as some changes in the content and visits.
 
i notice this too but i dont even know why myself but i guess someone will help us here and i will really appreciate
 
With the recent August update, a lot is in the whirl right now. I think there is also an update on how Google is indexing especially new pages. I think we should invest time into checking what has actually changed.
 
Indexing does seem to be slow for some websites recently. I have realized that having good internal links, submission of URLs using the Search Console, maintaining XML sitemaps and writing useful content might assist.
 
Yes 've noticed this too I usually just request indexing in Search Console and keep the page internally linked Sometimes it just takes a bit longer
 
new pages can sometimes take longer to index usually check Search Console for crawl or indexing issues confirm the page is internally linked and in the sitemap then give Google some time.

this happen quite often now, in my experience. usually, what I do first is internal linking, checking out the sitemap nd getting the page some traffic instead of indexing it.

seroundtable says its a know bug caused on August 28th and is still not sorted until 31st. Google is slow in indexing new URLs even for news sites like cnn, forbes, etc.
 
If the content is fine, then it's likely that the algorithm on Google has been adjusted. Just keep the normal updates going for now, and leave the rest to time.
 
Yes.. days when any new content got indexed almost the second it was published are long gone. Now, you actually have to prove to Google why a specific page even deserves to be indexed.
There could be plenty of reasons for this: low traffic, scraped content, duplicates across subdomains or within the main domain, low-quality AI -generated pages, weak on-page optimization, technical site errors, crawlability issues, slow load times and more.
 
there is also quite a bit of discussion in the search community lately around indexing changes so its worth keeping an eye on those updates.google making so many updates its important to keep researching what has changed and how it may affect seo
 
Yeah, I’ve noticed indexing can be slower lately too. I’d make sure the pages are actually worth indexing, then use strong internal links rather than forcing the process.
 
Google indexing can be slow sometimes, even when the page is well written. I would check technical issues, sitemap submission, internal links, and whether Google can access the page properly.
 
Make sure the new pages are linked from pages that Google already crawls regularly, rather than only adding them to the sitemap.
 
Make sure the page is not blocked by robots or noindex, then request indexing from GSC and give it some time.
 
Request indexing in GSC, strengthen internal links, fix crawl/noindex issues, and give Google some time to recrawl.
