Yeah, rank tracking will be way more expensive. Or limited to top 10-30 by default.
Tools like SEMrush will have big problem.

They're probably trying to get rid of farther pages when most users don't visit them. AI probably cut down traffic leaking to page 2 and above. So, they'll probably limit the number of pages in the future to save costs. I'm already seeing many searches end after page 6 or 7. This might spread to all niches in the future.

Yup, though it doesn't seem to be impacting 100% of searches just yet (I am still seeing the num=100 param being respected in some cases).

true the more time passes the more we dont like google or at least we webmasters .Google dropped today support of the &num=100 search parametr.
Google scraping costs just increased 10 times as 10 requests are needed to get 100 search results.

This is the main reason i stop scraping years ago...(I mean i used to scrape for tools like gsa ser, xrummer but now i buy a link list instead scraping google for those tools..anyway like said rank trackers will ne more expensive...
Nowdays i dont even track keywords instead just building backlinks 24/7 without tracking...

more people are going to be looking at commoncrawl, publicwww, shodan etc for sources of urls now. i remember when people used to try to download a list of all registered domains and identify the platform of each domain, but it doesnt really work that way

Google has removed support for the num 100 parameter. Now it takes 10 separate requests to get 100 results which makes scraping costs increase by 10 times

Yeah, this will definitely hit scrapers and SERP trackers hard. Looks like Google is pushing everyone toward APIs and making bulk data extraction much more costly.
