were the sites that are working accepted to Google News prior to the December change? Or, are these sites approved and "indexing" after the change?

Thanks.

Yes my sites are approved by Google news and indexing properly

Are you actually getting traffic from Google News from the site approved in December? Approval/Review doesn't matter anymore for Google News. So, it doesn't matter if your sites are in review or not, once they are approved... nothing will change except that people can subscribe to your website on Google News. But, it doesn't make your content appear any more.

Now it’s even harder to get into Google News
Tighter rules - (

No. The rules are NOT tighter at all. I don't know why you think this. It's just all done by algorithm now and not done by approval of your website. I have seen some pure spam websites getting indexed in Google News still.

Just wondering if anyone has managed to get their content indexed in Google News following the changes last month.

Only sites I have seen are websites pushing hundreds of spam posts a day stolen from other websites. I have found 4 of them brand new websites created in December. They all have the exact same layout, really obviously fake websites. I will be trying some spamming of spun articles to see if Google News picks any of them up. I posted 20+ original articles in January and none of them got indexed.

I am wondering if the spam sites were expired, previously GN approved domains.

I have a hard time believing that 1000 posts a day is something that the new algorithm would accept as "good." You would think it would trigger spam warnings.

Which leads me to believe that the new algorithm is not working yet....

But, please do keep us posted on your test. I may try the same.

Anyone else with sites approved and index within the last month or so?

How many traffic you are driving per month from Google News.?

Nope. Nothing here. I will be honest, I have been lazy and haven't fully testing spamming with spun articles yet. I have the plugins installed, just have to press play. I don't want to fully automate it, so it's still going to be a bunch of work. I've posted a few high quality original news stories though and nothing showing in Google News and no traffic. A spam site I reported last month is still going strong with their articles still showing "indexed" in Google News, but I am not sure how much traffic they are really getting because I checked a couple of articles and they didn't actually rank for those keywords in Google News.

I've found a few sites that appear to be approved post December 9th (2019) I don't think they were previously approved domains that had expired.

Can anyone see how they're getting their content to appear in Google News?

To me it appears to be just that they are getting bulk spun posts up 5-10 per day at a minimum.

If you want to follow the rabbit hole and see more, go to news.google.com and search for: One Punch Man Season 3

If you look at the thumbnails you will start to see many of them using the same thumbnail, and if you click them you will see mostly is the same articles being spun.

All mostly part of the same networks and doing nothing special but posting the same articles.

Remember that they could have 500 websites and only 2 of them get indexed or things like that.
