Merry Christmas

My site recently got approved by Google News, I submitted the publication via RSS feed, but don't really see any of the articles being indexed or picked up... Did i do something wrong?
P.S before you start telling me to make better content, take my word that the articles are good, are different and etc...

is this normal? is the problem that I submitted an RSS feed and not a url etc?

This is pretty normal for a couple of days after the website has been approved,
Any longer than that and you can make sure there's a problem somehow,

Is the content in the RSS feed being fetched in the publisher center, so the recent content?
Did you refresh the content after it got approved?
Are referring to being indexed by the SERPs or showing up in G News, Discover, etc...?

Including a News sitemap does help a lot as well, you can use Yoast News plugin for that,
Make sure that the publication name is strictly matching tho, any misspelling would get it ignored,
Basically, any new posts will get fetched and indexed in minutes/hours after the sitemap being pinged,

Also, you should make sure to include only news unique & high quality posts for G News,
I had several experiments with spam websites getting the posts deindexed after a couple of hours/days,
not being crawled and the websites getting kind of penalized because of spamming the shit out of it, it's more picky and strict nowadays

is there a way to submit the sitemap via software? and when you mean "publication name matching" you mean for the sitemap..?

You can create a sitemap via a software, php (or any other language) script, but it has to be accessible via your website URL,
The same for pinging, it can be done via any custom software or a script
Yoast News or Rank Math both can do this for you, updating and pinging the sitemap each time a new post is created,

And yes, News sitemap should contain the Publication name exactly as the one used in your Google publisher center,
And again, both of these plugins allow you to add it there

How many days should I wait after getting no results to start debugging?

Any success on here? I am in the same case. I realized that I had not exactly the same name in the news sitemap that into the publisher center. I have just changed it and cross fingers.

Any help/advice about usual things that you should check would be highly appreciated.

Of course, not duplicated content, or duplicated images, quality, one post per day, 250 published posts, fast site...

- Make sure your RSS feed is correctly formatted and accessible.
- Look into Google Publisher Center to confirm your site’s details and preferences are all correct.
- Give it some time. Sometimes there's a lag before articles start getting picked up.
- Keep an eye on your Search Console for any potential issues that might prevent indexing.

New edition google news is not helpfull nowadays go for old edition domains it will be fast and worth to inest on them.

Your site was never approved by Google News. It was approved by the Publisher Center, which is totally different than Google News.

Congratulations on becoming approved by Google News – that is a great achievement! If your articles still have not appeared, here are a couple of things to consider:

RSS Feed Set up: Double-check its structure because all markers (titles, dates, links) should be available. The causes can be minor, but they may impair indexing.

Crawlability: Review your robots.txt file and the meta tags of your pages to make sure Googlebot is not being blocked.

News Sitemap: And if you haven't done it, submit a News Content Sitemap within your Search Console - it can help make indexing faster.

Timing: New articles are most relevant for the freshness factor. Please ensure the published dates of all your articles are recent.

Be Patient: There may be an introductory period during which Google News makes more or less full use of the newest publications.

In any case, if everything is OK but it still does not appear, it may be worth contacting Google News support. Tell me if you require further help!
