Bing had an edge with OpenAI collaboration. But how did Yahoo grew so much?
If Bing reaches 36% mark, then it could be considered the end of Google era.

When the rankings get progressively worse, eventually people will notice.
I've been saying for so long how bad the SERPs have gotten. Truth be told, they were never nearly as good as they made out but here we are. I can't wait for the downfall of Google
Am I the only one in thinking the majority of Googles results are now ads or irrelevant? Maybe I'm just looking for very specific things but AI gives me answers most of the time where google can waste so much time giving me irrelevant ads.

They didn't do well with their last update. How can you deindex someone's homepage for their own brand name? They're turning into an unhelpful search engine.

As much as I wish Google will get fucked hard due to their greed and incompetence... I don't trust StatCounter graph one bit.
Please do know that StatCounter gets their data from websites that have the statcounter code installed. That is how they derive these data as they refer to our site's referral data and so on.
And who usually installs statcounter code? The small-time publishers, or us... You don't see big sites, especially the authority ones, install StatCounter code. I also doubt Reddit uses statcounter.
And because the past update, especially since September 2023 HCU, have killed so many small publishers sites, it is bound to show this as our sites are lost in Google but still ranking in "Bing" and whatnot.
So it is very likely the data is not 100% true at all.
However, I also must point out that many users have also left Google Search and use others as Google is just too distracting, full of ads, and giving poor irrelevant results. I've been reading comments at Youtube, Tiktok, Reddit, and so on and many have shared they are using ChatGPT, Bing, Perplexity, DDG, and so on instead. So yeah, there's definitely a drop in Google's dominance in search, but I doubt it is that bad.

With the massive outpour of Ai from tech companies Google search looks like it will be dead soon.

Yeah, I saw that report and it's gonna be a matter of time until Google fully gives way to a one-search result system.
What I mean by that is people will expect one comprehensive answer instead of a list of links.
And when this happens, the ad opportunities are going to go away.
Right now, Bing is trying to come up with a hybrid version of that, and there are still ways for online publishers to get traffic.
When you go on Copilot, Bing's AI service, and you enter a question, you will get an answer and there are citations.
When you click on the citations like a footnote, you end up at somebody's website.
There is still a chance of getting traffic, but it's only a matter of time until all that goes away in favor of preferred data sources.
This is when things really start to get interesting for Google since Google makes its money through ads.
