Hi guys

Im new, as you can tell, hopefully not a stupid first post

I have a small online business in dropshipping which does not do that well.
I am looking for something else and this has really grabbed me, guys like Paul James and Chad Kimball have lots of free vids out there which give lots of info but never quite enough.
I get the premise, you build a site (plumber for example) and work at getting it ranked in a certain suburb then rent the site out to a plumber.
What I dont understand is what address you would use ? Not your own I would think and what happens if you start getting calls before you have sold or rented the site? Im not a plumber !!

Is there anywhere you guys can point me where I can learn these techniques in full and not little snippets here and there..

I am guessing no one is answering as its a bit of a noob question?

A major factor is having a Google my maps listing with NAP citations.

Although it is good to have an address for it, you can click the checkbox 'hide my address' mainly for business that is serviced oriented.

To get the GMB listing you need an address for google to send out a postcard. However there is a loop hole that allows you to get an address any where and have them verified.

That's the main hurdle that people have but there is a way around it... many people know it and won't explicity share that tactic with you. But there are services out there from around $80-120 to get that listing.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.
I have built a site, so to put it on google as a business now, are you saying I would or would not need an address ? Is there no chance of getting it ranked high without an address

I have lots of instructions on how to get it ranked, my question was more, what do I do if someone calls me for plumbing from my google listing before I have actually sold it on to a plumber ? What do people do in this situation?

Just send the calls to voicemail until you get a business owner to send the leads to.

Google maps lets you designate a service area. By doing this you can hide your address.

Have you complete the Google My Business page?

You need citations.
