Google Maps fake reviews

Hello BHW,

First of all, English is'nt my first language so excuse me if I make some mistakes.

I'd like to know if it's possible to make fake reviews on Google Maps ? You know, when you type a company name on Google and you see some Google reviews on the right, like here :

Do you just need a Google account ? Does it need to be PVA, older than a few weeks or something else ?

That's the short answer, the long answer is tiny bit more complex.

Google is pretty good at sussing out dodgy reviews, so creating fake ones is something that takes time to organise.

You'll need:

- IP addresses to create accounts from.
- Fake address details and emails that look legitimate.
- Patience!

Posting fake reviews is just the same as posting a standard review yourself, just with a fake account. However, you need to gently "warm up" each account first and give Google a good reason to believe you're a genuine person. That just means creating reviews for other local companies and slowly using the account for a week or two until you add the fake review that counts.

It's much the same deal as with Yelp, you need to warm the account up before you go spamming!

Alternatively, have you got friends you could "borrow" their account off in exchange for a drink? No review will stick better than that of a fully fledged and aged account! ;-)

I found google easier to trick than Yelp. My reviews have stuck on google but on yelp even a legit review of mine doesn't stay. It's weird ha. I second getting friends to let you review stuff
