Google maps address

sorry if i posted in the wrong place.
is it any work around with google maps to get an address listed.
PO BOX, mail forward. how can i verify an address that is not really my business in the black hat way?

For my Google Place Pages, I use PO boxes. I've heard they have been cracking down on this, and that you will need an actual address. My sites are still listed though.

Phone verify seems like the only option besides a postcard. Look around on here, I remember seeing a post explaining how to phone verify without using a "real" phone number.

Google will accept any address that packages can be delivered to... so that rules out PO Boxes, but other services (like UPS store boxes, etc) are fine.

You can also use the same address to verify more than one business as long as you insert "suite 101", "suite 204", etc. for each one.

The best thing to do is to first create some "independent" citations on the internet with the bogus address, and wait until it has been spidered and indexed by google. That way when you submit your listing, Google will have "independent" verification that is where the business is located.

@englandrm - yea, you still see some PO Boxes, but as they catch up to them, they disappear, generally... for new listings, better to stay away from them, they used to be very popular!

I'm in the UK and I tried but the only option given to me is the post card.
and I don't leave by the city centre, the best places to add your business is by city centre.

Only postcard verification in options in all country now for new listing. If you claim your business listing created by google you can still verify by phone.
If you make citations first how long take to google create your list itself?
Any one idea??

It can take up to 5 months for google to scrape you listing. After the scrape it don't get all trigger happy and try to phone verify. You need to make sure that you have enough citations behind the listing you are trying to verify and that the top 5 citation sites have at least 10 reviews each. Pain in the butt, yes, but trust me it's worth the time if you are trying to get a map up the black hat way.
