I have 2 golf sites, both the same domain name- 1 is .com 1 is .info. Bought at the same time.

built Magneto + Amazon store on .com, did nothing with .info except put WordPress on site and a couple of click bank adds.

A month later 301ed the .info site to .com site. The .com site makes 1 sale per month on average.

Thinking that i will build the .info site out now i have time, lo and behold that now has a pr1 .com doesn't.

Good one Google, you never cease to amaze.

Hmm Google is a mystery sometimes haha. Are you sure you didn't build links to the .info domain? Check its back links with ahrefs.

Why not just buy another domain?

thats the strange part i built no backlinks at all.

I'm not concerned about it though, just wondering if theres a way to exploit this in the future?

now that you mentioned it here, whether its true or not google may fix this anytime soon.

Last march ! i had PR2 for one of my site (.COM) ! just in 2 months ! No backlinks .. just onsite SEO implements !
Now in the recent PR update it jumped to PR3 . i did write articles with catchy titles related to my reach. and i got good social media response. The minimum share on each articles are around 500. ( i do have 150k real followers in facebook )
So far its good.
