Google Localization , fake it

Hello guys,

I am using VPN for years now but it s getting harder and harder to fake my localization with Chrome and Firefox, sure I can block it in settings and then they re unable to get any localization ( if I connected in RJ45 and nto in wireless) but even if I use a vpn and ask Google to localize me ( secretly hoping he ll get my vpn location) he find the right adress , my home. I hate that . Do you know any solution to protect my localization when I am connected to wifi ?

Hey can I leave this comment here so that I would be able to read the answers of experts. I really, really want to know the answer as well.
 
I checked Hola, it s not the solution, I ve done some other research and doesn t seem to find any damn solution, how the heck can we be protected from localization when we are behind a wifi network ? Any expert ?
 
Every freaking day I got suspucious login prevented by Google since their now privacy system, even worse than before , it s hell for people with multiple ip and multiple gmail !
 
I'm confused in what context are you using the word localization, but if you mean that google services are shown in a foreign language, then change language settings
or Change DNS settings for example to something like "DNS Advantage"

PS: don't use Hola, google the recent stories about it.

No , simply if if you do a research on Google at the bottom you have use precise location , when on wifi google always find my location, always. I m just trying to fake it but Google is too good lol

I am using HMA from 2 years but it never shows me wrong location.Strange but true
 
I don t mean precise location show me wrong location, it just doesn t show me my vpn location but my real location ( when on wifi) . Try it make a search on google and in the bottom click on use precise location

I assume you are using google chrome
Settings-> in the search box type "location" -> press Content Settings... -> I hope you can figure out from there

I found a perfect way to do it in firefox by the way, it s my gift for today :-) , ll search for chrome later and use Firefox instead

Type ‘about:config' in the address bar (without the ‘')
• Discard the warning by hitting ‘yes'
• [1] Scroll down until you reach ‘geo.enabled' or you can simply search for 'geo.enabled'
• Doubleclick the item and it will change from its default value ‘True' to ‘False'
• [2] Scroll down until you reach ‘geo.wifi.uri'or you can simply search for 'geo.wifi.uri'
• Rightclick the value of ‘geo.wifi.uri' and click ‘Modify'
• Under Windows type in ‘localhost' and hit ‘OK'
• Under Linux leave the box blank (clear if necessary) and hit ‘OK
 
Hope someone would be able to solve this guy's problem. After reading the thread I, too, have become curious. But I have a question to herefornow. Why did you use wifi? Why not connect directly? Just curious mate.
 
I use wifi when travelling , no other choice, I connect directly when home :-) , as you all know now all those big website want to know your location ( for your security purpose or not ;-) ) , Don t tell me you never been bothered by Facebook blocking you out just because you are in another country or just in another house, same with Google, Paypal, Flippa, when you sign in and I m sure more ll do in the future. I d like to be able to set my computer to the same adress (location) every time, every where even thru Wifi to avoid those problems.
