I have a website that I would like to get to the top of google local in a small florida market.

Can anyone help?

What are the fastest ways to do this? Is it possible?????

How much would it cost to pay someone to do this?

Its a relatively easy job to get your listing Higher in search Engines as the google business listings are already Optimized. I suggest you to gain Backlinks from external sites, submit your Listing to sites like Digg, Delicious and ping them all :).

Well I am lookin to outsource that work. I know nothing about SEO. I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO LEARN...but i have enough on my plate.

I had one offer pmd to me, name your price.

Hopefully its low bc you say it is easy...

Google local SEO is shotty at best, but here are a few pointers:

1. Make sure that your title has the keywords that you are going for ie.
If the business is Bobs Moving Co. put the tile as Tallahassee Movers- Bobs Moving Co.

2. Put the address of the business on the site somewhere

3. Get customers to review the listing! ( this is really important)

4. Submit the business with the exact title and info to local directories

a few good ones are hotfrog, merchantcircle, yellowpages, and yelp
(google seems to pull info from these to back up that your business is legitimate)

Good luck( PM me if you need more help!)

It would cost you $299 for me too do it, but really, just do it yourself. The advice above is pretty much dead on, but just watch it, Google has been removing listings that are blatantly keyword spamming the title.

As far as reviews, you can do them yourself, just be careful with the new FTC laws. Change your IP, and try to make them as legit sounding as possible. Best thing to do though is to get legitimate ones, as mentioned above. One other thing. I try to ad some ok reviews in there to make them more natural. Nothing bad, but, just try to make the customer sound like they are unreasonable.

To elaborate on the local directories, follow this graph below. You will see the sites that are direct data feeds to G-Local hence making them the most important for citiations.

How long does this process take? How long will the results last? Can you automate the reviews?

And could I pay half up front half on the backside after seeing the results?

Can you please explain to me about the fees? I've been trying to figure this out for a while now. I know the companies that do it use some type of "Feed" how does it work? Where can I find info? Any info would be greatly aprechiated. I'm sure a lot of others will benefit as well.

also how are all the keywords determined? are they setup in the local business center under your add info? ive been able to get my listing on the maps for some keywords and others drop and come back from time to time. When i pay companies who utilize "feeds" they can get me up and keep me there within a couple weeks. I would really like to figure out how it's done.

Can you send me some tips for local listings, I am new and can't pm you because I havent posted alot, which I can't because I don't know as much as you guys. Thanks

I would check out the google maps cash free program for this. I have used it with good success locally.

allright first post here..this board rocks so hard...I just scored 3000 backlinks from this one dood..and now I have way to take my Internet marketing firm to the next level we do google maps if anyone knows the latest tips for that please respond...I need help since google is trying to punish my spammy teckniques as of late

If you are doing google Local listing for a client i wouldn't advise keyword spamming the Company name field in the Google listing. It's against Google Places terms of services and you will eventually get flagged. Friend of mine lost 70 entries in Google Places in one fell swoop.
Make your profile 100% complete, ad videos and pics to max out that section, put keywords in description and categories, use an email address in your listing that has the domain name of the website you list and you'll be basically fine.
On the website you list make sure the company name, address, phone all match the Google lisitng and appear on every page. Try to have the keywords in the Google Maps listing on your site as well but that goes without saying.

There are a few great downloads in the downloads section of this forum that teach exactly these techniques. Do a search for local in those forums and good luck!

How can I optimized Google Maps for different keywords so it will show up for each one?
