If you release something through Distrokid, the knowledge panel will eventually be created automatically, and then you just need to claim it. Click the “claim this knowledge panel” and follow the instructions from there.

A published Wikipedia page is a great way to show off your reputability as a band or artist.

That seems to be a lot more difficult / expensive to get than a Google knowledge panel.

You will need to publish your music through a label or independently through a distributor. Once you start getting onto streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, your "name" will become an artist profile (which you can eventually claim and manage by the way)
Knowledge Panel gathers your profile info across the platforms and puts them into one as your panel.
Once that happens, apply to claim the knowledge panel!
