I went to use the normal google keyword tool, and it kept redirecting to the dumb beta version which doesn't work.

The beta version actually gives out wrong data and statistics.

Example: I put in "Money" (without quotes) and it said that it gets 20,000 searches a month, and that's TOTALLY OFF!

A keyterm like money gets at least 500k+ searches a month.

I cleared cookies, and deleted the history, and it still redirects to the dumb beta version that doesn't work.

Anyone else having this problem?

The normal tool I'm referring to is the keyword external tool.

MauDaFita,

Thanks for that, how did that get it to work? Is it because it forced the true syntax of the website without redirecting it?

Anyways, I gave +rep and thanks.

on the new keyword tool, click on previous interface link on top right

That new beta kw tool is total crap...I hope they leave that legacy version as it is...

Agree the new tool gives conflicting information. Showed same number of competing pages for a keyword when done with quotes and without quotes.

Been noticing disparities with the old tool also. Figured they were in there playing around with things. Upsetting to say the least :(

The new Google KW tool may be something new to most, but It's actually been around for a while now. Anyone with an Adwords account could use this tool for quite a while.

Since this "new" version is going to be the replacement for the old tool, I recommend learning how to use it properly. It's actually a lot better than the old version.

You can target your KWs much easier and drill down much further into any KW than you ever could with the old tool.
