And no one has asked what you need it for?
For example for SEO, finding keywords without analyzing the top competitors link profile, is like an empty shell. so you better use something that do both, like Ahrefs or Moz.
For PPC, i would use SEMRush.

There are a number of tools you will get online for finding keyword research.
Google keyword planner is really a great tool for getting historical & forecast data.
But if you are not comfortable enough with it, then its better to go with Ahref & SEMRUSH

Keyword planner is great free tool but there is a lot more tools to use when searching for keywords... As others said, semrush, ahrefs and also KWfinder.
